Harry Potter Sadness & Chicken Pictures!

I'm so sad!  Harry Potter is over!!  Friday night, Rob and I decided to do an impromptu date night.  We decided on dinner and a movie.  I've been dying to see Harry Potter and we had gift cards for the movies so off we went!  We decided to get burgers at Red Robin since its right by the theater and we haven't been there in a while (and its cheap!)

The movie was awesome!  I am seriously sad there won't be any more.  I can't wait to have them all on DVD!  Movie marathon at my place!!  LoL, anyway, after the movie, we decided to walk over to the FroYo place that recently opened and get a quick treat.  It looked like it was going to storm and on the way back to the car, it was crazy windy.  We just made it into the car before the downpour started!

It was definitely a nice night out with the hubs!  It was kind of like a last hoorah too since this month will be all about a tight budget!

The rest of the weekend was crazy busy and I don't know where the time went.  Barbecue on Saturday and then out to see a friend's band play at a bar.  Good times!  Sunday was very low key.  We moved our broody hen (in case you missed the news, she hatched an egg!) into a little pen for just her and the baby chicks (if we get any more).  Other than that, it was a nice relaxing weekend!  And to end, pictures of the chickens.  I got some regular shots with my little pocket camera but also got some really good shots with my Olympus 500.  Love my camera!

I know, its not chickens but these were delicious!  Ate them like a piece of fruit... Which they are...

LOVE the big close up of the light brown rooster (?) with the chicken wire in the foreground...very artistic shot!!!

My kids were still a bit young for Harry Potter - so we really haven't been too in to it...I did read books 1-5 when I was nursing the baby...umm...6 years ago!?! Guess I need to freshen up on those now! They are a good age now for the books!
