Photo Challenge Days 23 & 24

Day 23 - A picture of your favorite book; why is it your favorite?

I decided to combine days 23 and 24 since I am currently reading my favorite book... again!  I have read it several times already and like to pick it up now and then.  My nice copy is in storage so I picked a new one up at Barnes and Noble for a couple dollars.  Since its a "classic" it is generally cheap to get a copy.  You'll see it below.  

This is actually my "work bag" so some things that are in here, I don't carry around when I'm out shopping and I don't have my coupons and credit card wallets in my work bag either.  But you can get a pretty good idea of me from my purse I think :)

 I tried to make it very big so you could really see in but I have close ups too!  Let's start with the right hand side there.

The orange book is my organizer that doesn't get used as much but I still enjoy filling it in (there's something about stationary that I love, lol).  There is the smaller organizer with 2 pens attached to it.  That is strictly used for my workouts.  Things I need to do (like parties or events) get written in pink so I can plan my workouts around them.  Then I use the purple to fill in the workouts!  My phone is on the far right, my ipod in the pink cover, the white case is for my camera, the little book is to keep track of my spending (you see the top of it with the book mark in it), an apple to snack on, and a spare pen to write in the spending tracker!

On the opposite side of my purse, you can see the spending notebook and the apple again.  My keys shoved at the bottom (see my Oceanside gym tag?).  My water bottle handy!  And my wallet in pink.  The red thing under the apple is a little case that I keep things like nail clippers, a mirror, a USB drive, allergy meds, and other small random things that I don't want making a mess at the bottom of my purse.  You can also see a container of tic tacs at the very bottom of the picture!

Finally, you can see what my favorite book is!  Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.  I love it.  And I love the BBC movie with Colin Firth too.  It follows the story line perfectly (don't get me started on the Kira Knightly version because its awful).  I've probably read it at least 5 times and watched the movie dozens.  I will be sad to finish it!  Why is my favorite?  Well, what girl doesn't love the story line?  It is all about romance but I really do love the different characters and how distinct they all are.  Also, every time I read it, I feel like I see something new that I missed before.  Finally, I'm slightly obsessed with British things (I don't know why!) and I also love old things.  Reading Jane Austen's novels is like getting a glimpse into what life was like in the early 1800s UK.  Understanding what life was like and how people behaved back then really fascinates me!  Back to the purse!  I carry around random magazines for when I have spare time to kill and my sunglasses on the left there to protect my lovely eyes!
