Brews and Ground Beef

Where has my motivation gone?  More on that tomorrow...  You'll see the motivation wasn't here this weekend though.  It started off on Friday with Happy Hour!  A coworker is leaving and I didn't know (been out of the loop) so off we went to say goodbye.  I tried a new beer (Palm).  It was ok, a little uninteresting for to me.  Happy Hour was at Chickie and Pete's as usual!  I let Rob drink and I tried to have lots of water knowing I would be running Saturday morning.

Saturday, I woke up feeling terrible.  I had felt off on Thursday, like I was getting a cold.  Friday, I felt like I couldn't drink enough water.  Saturday, just plain crappy.  I got up and got in my running clothes as I had a 10 mile run on the books.  I headed out and from the start, I was just off.  I made it 4 miles in 55 minutes.  For those who don't know, that is REALLY slow for me.  I walked a lot and just couldn't shake the bad feeling.  I just wanted to stop and cry or take a nap or something!  The whole rest of the day went similarly.  Just couldn't feel better.  So anyway, I stopped at 4 miles and called it a day.  I'm not going to get much better by this weekend anyway, right?  Again, more on that in tomorrow's blog.

Saturday was pretty uneventful.  I am SO excited though for Fall!  Look what is out!!!

I love everything pumpkin!  Yum yum!!!  I had 2 of these this weekend.  Again, more on that tomorrow.  We also had some company for a while.

My niece came over for a while, played with the cats, and watched a movie for a bit.  After she got tired and went home, I took another beer to try!  Again, its fall, and that means pumpkin!

It was pretty good but can only really drink 1 and that is enough.  So anyway!  Woke up this morning and it was so hazy but pretty out.  I randomly snapped a picture and it came out cute!

So today gets pretty picture heavy.  We spent some time cleaning and decorating our bedroom.  It looks like a real room finally!  We moved the black and white table from the kitchen to the bedroom because Rob wasn't happy with where it was.  We put it in the bedroom to keep my makeup on and we can move the stuff on it to use it as a sewing table!  Looks cute with the rest of the room!  We also set up a bookshelf to hold all my random stuff.  Especially my running sneakers!

Seriously, I can't explain how excited I am that we have a real room!  Everyone keeps telling me "one box at a time" but it is extremely stressful to be in a messy house and I've already got enough stress.  Having a nice place is just one less thing to worry about!

So anyway, we also did our grocery shopping today.  It was meat week when we stock up at BJs.  Rob decided he would try his meat grinder and he had a blast.  I can't even tell you how amazing the ground meat was.  We mixed ground pork and ground beef together.  Rob had trimmed all the fat so it was very lean.  We made meatballs with the ground meat and put it over all natural tortellini that we got at BJs also.  We'll never go back to store bought ground meat again!!!

The rest of the night has been spent doing homework!  I also broke down and had a beer toward the end.  Oh!  We also hit Borders today, its there last week open.  I got a bunch of physics and math books for cheap cheap.  Good to have for reference, even if I don't use them much.

The Hex beer is the Magic Hat's Octoberfest.  I really enjoyed it!  The homework, not so much.  LoL.  Anyway, time to go relax a bit more and watch Doctor Who with Rob.  Tomorrow, I'll write more about what's going on with my health and such!  Good night!

Hectic Labor Day

Yesterday was just hectic.  A good word for it.  I felt like I didn't get anything done!  I had wanted to get up early and work out but we had stayed up super late the night before.  I value my sleep so we slept in and got a solid 8 hours.  Rob and I decided we would eat breakfast at home since its faster and cheaper.  I had my usual omelet with some sort of oatmeal thing.  It was oatmeal pancakes again!  So convenient, I made enough to have all week. Rob's cereal looked so delicious so I took a picture of that too!

Then it was off to do errands and head back home for some cleaning and odds and ends.

I just loved the chicken table runner but it was $40!  No way, even with 20% off.  We decided to pick up a pizza to make lunch quick and easy.  $5 for a pizza is cheaper than anything I can cook at home!  Anyway, we headed home with some boxes to unpack from storage and then all our plans were foiled...

That would be a screw in my tire.  Ugh!  At least we caught it before driving back and forth to school.  We had gotten the warrenty on the tires so we headed over to Sears.  It was a 2 hour wait!  We hadn't planned ahead to bring a second vehicle so we were stuck at the mall.  We decided that I would get my fitness minutes in by walking around.  Good thing I brought water with me and of course, we did some shopping too!

Oh how I love shoes!  Anyway, didn't really find much but had fun walking around.  Finally, at about 2 hours on the dot, the car was ready and we could head home.  This left us with just enough time for me to change before heading to a friend's house for a Labor Day Barbecue.

This was just some of the things she had.  It was potluck and turned out great!  She always has the nicest get-togethers.  Anyway, we hung out there until we decided we really needed to get home to clean before bed.  Ended up staying up a little bite late but at least got a lot of things put away.  I also pulled out my books for school

So we really didn't get much done yesterday.  I got no workout in like I wanted to.  Today is going to be tough on that end too.  I have work and school.  I have some time between the two but I will use that to brush up on my notes from class last week.  The plan is to work out when I get home tonight (late).  Gotta fit it in at some point, right?

And to end, some random pictures.  We got cute lights for our walk way and Spooky was being adorable at breakfast yesterday!  I will probably blog again at some point today.  Not sure about these daily blogs.  They are fun but I'm quickly realizing how much time they take up, which I don't have much of right now!  We'll see!

Sunday Routine

Pretty much every Sunday, Rob and I go to breakfast and then do errands which always includes going grocery shopping.  We were going to eat in today but we were out of pretty much everything.  We ate some of that wonderful bacon but I forgot a picture.  It really was absolutely delicious!  It was thicker cute and just amazing tasting.  So glad we bought it!  I think breakfast at home will happen more often!  Today though, it was the Harley Dawn Diner for pancakes.  They make the best pancakes!

We drove around doing various errands.  I really wasn't in a picture taking mood so the next picture is of my snack.  Yum, Godiva!  Pumpkin spice truffle.  I also had some peach oatmeal bread that I got at the diner that morning that they make on site.  So delicious.  I also snacked on coffee and spiced wafers.

We had gotten up really late because of bar hopping the night before so breakfast was really late therefore our next meal was dinner!  I wasn't feeling creative and had some ground beef so I just made meat sauce.  Easy, quick, delicious.

I then got to work on various house projects.  This place is still a mess (and why you guys haven't really seen many pictures of the apartment!).  I tried putting stuff away and then I got to cleaning a table we were bringing in as an island.

It took a lot of scrubbing to get this thing looking nice!  It has a lot of chipping paint on it too so I wanted to scrub off any loose stuff in case it is lead paint.  It was finally clean enough to bring it before it got dark out!  I can't wait to do all my baking on it!

Now, I'm just relaxing with Rob enjoying the fast internet.  He ran a hard line from my parent's house and now it is super fast!  Love it!  All of the snacks left for the night were a beer and more Godvia.  Yummies

Rob is the king of loving one thing only and I love variety.  Can you tell which truffles are mine and which are his?  I'll give you a hint, he got all one flavor.  Haha!  He is too cute.  Anyway, time to go relax and watch something off the DVR!  Can't wait for yet another day off tomorrow!!!

Time to Blog!

I have time to blog now so I will!  I love other bloggers that write multiple times per day so I figured why not?  Soon, you guys will be happy to get a blog every other day!  LoL.  Besides, Rob and I are going out tonight so you won't here from me again until tomorrow!  Anyway, I will still hungry after my huge omelet but it was a craving for carbs.  We are out of milk so I just grabbed some cereal and made coffee.

I settled down to read some blogs and relax a little on the couch.  It was heavenly.  Spooky agreed.

My mom popped over and wanted to get some boxes that she had here.  She said I should come sit outside and keep her company while she looked through the boxes.  I agreed to go since its so nice out!

Spooky was very upset she couldn't come out with us.  She spent the next 4 hours or so sitting there crying and pawing the window.  She is in heat so she is being very lovey.  She is still at the back door making noises at Rob who is outside working on our internet.  Anyway, my laptop went dead and I helped a little with the looking through stuff.  My mom found some of her old records and suggested this one for me!

HA!  It even had a little booklet with directions on how to do the workouts.  Awesome.  I just want to hang it on my motivation wall!  We got enough stuff moved around that I could finish setting up my patio set on the back porch.  Now we have a nice place to relax and enjoy the beautiful fall weather coming up!

That's it for now!  I've been working hard on my water after the lead-legs this morning.  I also had a peach (local grown, yum!).

Rob and I are meeting a friend tonight for drinks at The Beer Garden, a new place that opened up at one of the casinos in Atlantic City.  So excited!  I love trying new beers.  I asked him if he wanted to get dinner before hand and he said he wanted to go to PF Changs so that's the plan!  I couldn't get a reservation for the time we wanted so lets hope its not insanely crazy, it is Labor Day Weekend after all!  So excited for date night!  Ok, no more blogs until tomorrow!  Good night!
